Cramer Canine Consulting strives to continue providing educational and fun training for you and your dog in 2024.  We understand how important it is to have class sizes big enough for socialization and fun activities, but still small enough for one-on-one work.  With this in mind, we will be enforcing class sizes.  Obedience, Puppy, Good Dog, and Nosework classes will have a maximum of 8 dogs in each class.  Agility and Rally will be limited to 6 dogs per class.  Classes will only be run if they contain at least 3 dogs.

Featured Class: Rally

What is Rally?

Rally is an exciting and engaging dog sport that promotes teamwork and strengthens the bond between you and your furry companion. Rally classes are a great way for dogs to learn new skills and improve their obedience, while also giving owners a chance to develop better communication and understanding with their pets. Our rally classes will teach you and your dog how to navigate a predetermined course while performing a variety of obedience tasks, such as heel, sit, down, stay, slow, and fast.  With a focus on positive reinforcement and reward-based training, rally classes are both fun and effective, providing an excellent opportunity for you and your dog to socialize and have a great time while improving your skills.

What classes are offered?

Cramer Canine Consulting offers both Novice and Intermediate Rally classes.   We have designed a six-week Novice Rally class that covers the basics of rally and how to perform the various exercises. After the successful completion of the first Novice Rally class, attendees can move on to the 6 week Novice Rally class with Virtual Titling, where they can further hone their skills,  and get ready for virtual titling. Those interested in Intermediate Rally classes can follow the same path, with 6 weeks of learning intermediate cards and another 6 weeks of training for Virtual Titling.

What is Virtual Titling?

Rally Virtual Titling is a new way to get your Novice and Intermediate Rally titles from AKC.  Your dog must be registered with the AKC to earn a rally title, either with full AKC registration, ILP, PAL, or AKC Canine Partners registration.

With Virtual Titling, you choose a course to run from 5 AKC approved courses.  The run is recorded and sent to AKC for judging.

Scoring in rally begins with a perfect score of 100 with points deducted along the way.  You must receive a score of 70 or better to qualify.  To earn a title you must earn a qualifying score on three separate approved courses.

How do I start?

We are excited to announce that we will be offering a Novice Rally Class and Intermediate Rally Virtual Testing Class in our next session.  The Novice Rally Class is for new handlers.  The Intermediate Rally Virtual Titling class is for more experienced handlers that have already completed their Novice Rally Title.

You can sign up for rally classes now on our classes page.  We are offering a Novice Rally class at 6:00pm on Wednesdays starting on March 6th.  This class is for those who have little or no experience with rally.  We are also offering an Intermediate Rally with Virtual Titling class on Wednesdays at 7:30pm starting March 6th.  This class is for those who have completed a Intermediate Rally class or need one or more legs for their Intermediate Rally virtual title.
